What is 14 Mukhi Rudraksha (Chaudah Mukhi)?
- A representation of Lord Hanuman, the 14-Mukhi Rudraksha is known as Deva Mani. This Rudraksha is the most precious of all jewels & has great strength.
- It is believed to have originated directly from the third eye of the Lord Shiva. It is worn by all the Deities.
- This Chaudah Mukhi Rudraksha bead is known as “Deva Mani,” or “Bead of the Gods.” It is located between two eyebrows of Lord Shiva, the third eye and referred as Ajna Chakra.
Importance of 14-Mukhi Rudraksha according to Scriptures
- According to the Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Purana, the 14 Mukhi Rudraksha is linked to Rudra’s eyes. It has the power to cure all illnesses, allay fear, and all desires.
- The Shiva Purana states that 14 Mukhi should be worn on the head with extreme devotion as it atones for all misdeeds.This Rudraksha is believedto have come from Lord Shiva’s eyes, according to the RudrakshaJabala Upanishad.
- According to the Skanda Purana, Lord Shiva’s favourite day is the fourteenth day of the lunar month. In order to achieve Sayujya (Identification with Lord Shiva), people should fast on the Tithi (Lunar day) of the dark half, which is beneficial and conducive in this pursuit.
- The Tithi of Shivaratri is referred to as the one who washes out all sins. Padma Purana says when this Rudraksha is worn continuously on the forehead orin the arms, it becomes powerhouse of Lord Shiva.
- The Chaturdashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha is celebrated as Monthly Shivaratri each month The fourteenth day of the lunar month, or Chaturdashi Tithi, is devoted to Lord Shiva.
