8-Mukhi Rudraksha according to the scriptures:
- Rudraksha Jablopnishad states. Rudraksha is a representation of eight Vasus. whomever wears receives their blessings. By minimising constraints, it raises cognitive and physical well-being.
- Rudraksha with the eighth Mukhi is useful for preventing Rahu’s adverse effects. Rahu has the same detrimental impacts as Saturn (Shani).
- Rahu’s negative effects include ailments like hydrocele, airtracia, catarrhisis and disorders of the skin, foot, eyes, and lungs. In addition to these consequences, Rahu also has a detrimental influence on snake bites. Anyone wearing an 8 Mukhi Rudraksha will be protected from such negative effects.
8-Mukhi Rudraksha and story of Gauri Ganesh:
- Once there was an Asura named Analasura who was the son of Yama. He could burn anything with the fire emitting from his eyes.
- He decided to use his power against the Rishis who were performing Yagna and offering oblation to Devatas and deities. He wreaked havoc burning down ashrams and destroying the Havan kunds. The Devatas tried to stop him but could not.
- When Lord Ganesha came to know, he rushed to the ashram and swallowed Analasura in one gulp. There ended the distress caused to the pure and pious.
- All worship and rituals could now take place in without any obstruction. It is also stated that when the ministers of Bhandasura set up devious yantras to subdue the power of Shaktis Lord Ganesha appeared as Shakti Ganesh and shattered these Yantras with his tusks breaking them into pieces.
- Thus, it is seen that Lord Ganesh always rushes to help those distressed and disturbed.

How to identify your original 8-Mukhi Rudraksha:
- Good quality Rudraksha will contain mukhis with a clear outline that flow across their entire length. Most of the time, the one-mukhi Rudraksha beads that have greater than twelve lines could be forged by traders for the purpose of making a high profit. The upper mukhi is made through the sculpting of a lower mukhi.
- According to Maha Shiv Puran, the only reliable technique to determine whether or not an 8-Mukhi is authentic is to split the bead along the centre and count the number of chambers.
- The number of lines inside the compartments should correspond to the number of Mukhis on the exterior of the bead. X-rays are effective in revealing the lines inside it.
- An authentic Rudraksha is a gorgeous body that is clearly marked grooves, or Mukhis. Fake or artificially made Rudraksha could look exactly like the real one, but the characteristics (Mukhis) aren’t exactly like authentic beads. Beads that aren’t fully created or eaten up by insects has a higher chance to fall.
- The Rudraksha bead should spin somewhat if you set it between two copper coins, according to the Copper Coin Test.
- Many customers do this without knowing the true fact or reason for it because they believe it is related to the Rudraksha beads’ physical and magnetic properties.
- If you hold a round object (like a Rudraksha bead) between two smooth metal coins, the object will spin because of the mechanical force acting on the pivoted surface of the Rudraksha bead. This has nothing to do with the authenticity of the Rudraksha.
- If the Rudraksha is held securely between the two coins, or if the protrusions are flattish and hence oppose the movement, there may be no spinning at all. When customers find that their Rudraksha bead doesn’t spin freely in their hands, they often jump to the conclusion that the bead is false.
