How to wear 6-Mukhi Rudraksha?

A Rudraksha having 6 Lines or Grooves is known as 6 Mukhi Rudraksh. Lord Kartikeya, the young, beautiful and courageous son of Lord Shiva, bestows his blessing on the 6- Mukhi Rudraksha (the six-faced).

Tuesday is the most auspicious day to wear a Quality of 6 mukhi Rudraksha from RudraTree Rudraksha . On a Tuesday morning, get up before the sun rises & clean yourself by taking a shower and putting fresh clothes. Make yourself comfortable in your Puja room facing east. Chant the mantra “Om Hreem Hoom Namah” 108 times, and keep the Rudraksha close to your heart.

The 6 Mukhi Rudraksha may be capped in silver or gold, or you can wear it strung on silk or wool.

How to identify your original 6-Mukhi Rudraksha:

Good quality Rudraksha will contain mukhis with a clear outline that flow across their entire length. Most of the time, the one-mukhi Rudraksha beads that have greater than twelve lines could be forged by traders for the purpose of making a high profit. The upper mukhi is made through the sculpting of a lower mukhi.

According to Maha Shiv Puran, the only reliable technique to determine whether or not a 6-Mukhi is authentic is to split the bead along the center and count the number of chambers. The number of lines inside the compartments should correspond to the number of Mukhis on the exterior of the bead. X-rays are effective in revealing the lines inside it. An authentic Rudraksha is a gorgeous body that is clearly marked grooves, or Mukhis. Fake or artificially made Rudraksha could look exactly like the real one, but the characteristics (Mukhis) aren’t exactly like authentic beads. Beads that aren’t fully created or eaten up by insects has a higher chance to fall.

The Rudraksha bead should spin somewhat if you set it between two copper coins, according to the Copper Coin Test. Many customers do this without knowing the true fact or reason for it because they believe it is related to the Rudraksha beads’ physical and magnetic properties. If you hold a round object (like a Rudraksha bead) between two smooth metal coins, the object will spin because of the mechanical force acting on the pivoted surface of the Rudraksha bead. This has nothing to do with the authenticity of the Rudraksha. If the Rudraksha is held securely between the two coins, or if the protrusions are flattish and hence oppose the movement, there may be no spinning at all. When customers find that their Rudraksha bead doesn’t spin freely in their hands, they often jump to the conclusion that the bead is false.

Rules to follow to maintain your 6-Mukhi Rudraksha:

The best time to wear the 6-Mukhi Rudraksha is the morning time. One should take the bath then should wear the Rudraksha or mala. Whenever you wear the Rudraksha, always chant the mantra while donning it. Worship it and offer incense stick and ghee Diya(lamp) to it. One should not wear the Rudraksha before the bath and even should not touch it with dirty hands.

He should speak truth always and must visit Lord Shiva temple for his blessings.

One important thing that Rudraksha should never be carried to the cremation and funeral ground. Even during the birth of new born or where new baby is born the rudraksha should be avoided.

Always keep your Rudraksha clean. To know more details about how to care Rudraksha visit Rudratree Rudraksh youtube channel .Dust and dirt can settle within the pores of the bead. Clean these as frequently as you can. If the thread becomes dirty or damaged, change it. After cleaning, wash your Rudraksha with water or Ganga Jal. This helps maintain its sanctity.

Always keep the Rudraksha oiled. After regular cleaning, oil the bead and offer them the incense sticks. This is of utmost importance. Especially when not using the bead for some time, or storing it for a long time.

Many get confused with the form and size. One shouldn’t seriously worry about it. One must care that the mukhi you buy should be well defined, and should be natural, there should be no cracks.

Mala that we wear around neck is formed of 108 beads or 54 beads. Japa mala can be as small as 27 beads. Do not use neck mala as Japa mala or interchangeably because purpose of each and every is different. before wearing the rudraksha take that mala to lord Shiva’s temple and offer Rudra Abhishek. Only after that the mala should be worn. One should chant the mantra “OM NAMAH SHIVAY” for at least 3 times while wearing it. Since Rudraksha is incredibly divine and pure in nature, it should be held in gold. Exceptions are permitted. Silver or strong red or black thread is even good to go for the rudraksha. Also, it’s advisable to take off beads while taking bath as excess soap dehydrates the beads natural oil. They have to be worn with faith, respect and one should love it. Rudraksha divine beads is worn by anybody regardless of age, gender, caste, creed, culture and place.
