What is 21-Mukhi Rudraksha?

• Lord Kubera bestows his favour upon the 21-faced Rudraksha. Lord Kubera is revered as both the treasury of the Gods and the protector of prosperity.
• Wearing a 21 Mukhi Rudraksha is said to bring its wearer financial success. He doesn’t just get it; he keeps it and passes it down through the family.

Lord Kuber according to Vedic Scriptures:

• Most Hindus recognise Kubera exclusively as the deity of prosperity. However, he is much more.
• The Vedas originally mentioned Kubera. He is not worshipped in Vedas. He’s the diabolical leader. Even the revered Shatpath Brahman calls him the leader of killings and murderers.
• The Puranas give Kubera godhood afterwards. Manu smriti praises him. He is godly in Ramayana and Mahabharata.
• Kubera has several meanings. Sanskrit scholars say Kubera signifies hideous.
• Visharva and Iladevi had Kubera. Most writings, including Ramayana, mention this. Ravana, Ramayana’s nemesis, is his stepbrother. In contrast, Mahabharata claims he was the son of sage Pulatsya and brother of Vishrava.

Appearance and significance: 

• The writings say Kubera isn’t attractive like other gods. He is a dwarf with a large belly, three legs, eight teeth, and one eye. He holds a pot of riches and has a lotus complexion.
• Kubera lost an eye after seeing Shiva’s wife Parvati with lusty glare, according to tradition. Some believe Parvati restored his eye after several requests.Usually on a mongoose. He overcame Nagad, treasure guardians, in Tibet. He also mounts goats.
• Hindus usually call Kubera the deity of riches. He and Lakshmi are adored for their wealth-granting powers. Dhanteras, a few days before Diwali, is the celebration. This lucky day witnesses shopping of gold and jewellery.
• Hindu scriptures call Kubera the Yaksha ruler. Later Puranas and other sources give him this title.
• Later scriptures give him numerous more names than head of dreadful beings, which the Vedas ignore. Kubera reportedly worshipped Shiva. He penanced for years to see Shiva.
• Shiva gave him Lokpal, meaning gatekeeper. He was named Dikpala, a direction guardian. Northern Dikpala is Kubera. He is connected to the east.
• Kubera was given Pushpak Viman, Lanka’s golden mansion, and the world’s treasures from Brahma. Later, Ravana invaded Kubera, took over the city, and grabbed his Pushpak viman. Kubera was exiled.
• Kubera settled near Kailash, called Alka Puri in the scriptures. Alka Puri’s grandeur and beauty have been compared to Indra’s city in several literature. Shiva, Parvati, and others visit Alka Puri. Alka Puri was often robbed of its riches, according to Puranas.

Kubera and Ganesha:

• Kubera’s arrogance was smashed by Ganesha.
• Kubera hosted a lavish feast for many deities to display his wealth. Parvati and Shiva were invited. Lord Shiva declined to attend the feast and sent Ganesha instead. Ganesha was insatiable after eating. Ganesha ate all the food before the visitors arrived.
• Kubera worriedly ran to Shiva. Shiva laughed and served him Parvati’s rice. He requested Kubera present this rice to Ganesha. Kubera fell at Shiva’s feet. Ganesha was finally satisfied with the rice.

Kubera and Tirupati:

Gods’ treasurer Kubera gave Lord Venkateshwara money to marry Padmavati. Many worshippers give at Tirupati’s hundi. So, the lord may repay Kubera.

How do you identify the original 21-Mukhi Rudraksha:

• Quality Rudraksha contains mukhis that have an obvious outline, which flow through their entirety.
